FREE tools to analyze you site

February 22nd 2007 05:22
Often, we are so close to our own sites that we fail to look at them with objective eyes. Are you really seeing the big picture? Sometimes it is helpful to step back and just run your site through some tools to see what you may have missed. But what I’d like to stress is that you should actually use them once in a while, looking at the patterns they present to you. Notice the trends you see. Pay attention to those things that are missing from your site that are not missing from sites that rank very well.

The following tools are online and free.

Is Google Overrated?

February 20th 2007 00:38
I have been recently busy with work lately. So I apologize if I haven't been posting much.

Since Im super early for work today, I took a quick surf on whats been recenlty going on in SEO lately. I saw a link on Marketing Pilgrim pointing to the open debate between Donna Bogatin and Danny Sullivan. Each of them presents opposing points of view regarding Google’s worth. It’s a pretty good fight, and both sides present convincing arguments. Anyway, it’s well worth reading and the topic itself is one worth discussing.

So, one question for you.

1. Who do you, personally, think won the debate? Why?

Hackers and Exploits

February 6th 2007 05:48
The official Web site of Dolphin Stadium, home of Sunday's Super Bowl XLI, has been hacked and seeded with exploit code targeting two known Windows security flaws.

In the attack, that visitors to that page with unpatched Windows computers downloaded a keylogger and malware that allows full backdoor control. As a webmaster, hacked sites are shaping up to be an issue that everyone will have to be savvy about. Try to make sure your servers are patched and that you have backups.
