Keyword Rich Path

It is commonly assumed that one of the most effective SEO thing, a webmaster can control, is the presence of some keywords in your domain name/ page names.
If your site outsources rotoscoping, you can actually have your domain name as www.outsource-rotoscoping.com and a web page about outsourcing rotoscoping can be outsource-rotoscoping.html.
Having a keyword-rich domain name is an effective SEO technique; however, there must be a coherence between the site’s actual content and the keyword-rich domain name. In other words, the domain name would only benefit you, once the words outsource and rotoscoping are present in the site’s content.
Relevance of keywords in a URL assumes this type of order: The first keyword is deemed important than the second. Arrange your keywords according to the strongest one you have where you are assured of a much higher conversion rate.
For your domain name extensions always see to it, you have the international ones, such as: .com, .net, .org, .edu
Let’s be honest, we cry over this type of URL www.cheap-affordable-red- rusty-colored-two-month-old-deoberman.com. However, let’s face it. That’s how most search engines work, that’s how Google work which I might add is the largest search engine. Keywords in URL are the first thing a bot actually index when crawling a site and when trying to levy relevance.
Just remember a keyword rich URL is only good once it supports your content. Here are a couple of tips to remember.
1. Your URL is supported by a relevant content
2. Keywords used in your URL is located in the content
3. Content must be unique
4. Minus signs / hyphens are still the best way to divide phrases.
Use your hyphens wisely. Use one hyphen to indicate a space, such as outsource-rotoscoping however if you use more than one hyphen to indicate a space, such as this outsource---rotoscoping, you are potentially considered to have been engaging in a spamming activity.
Happy Optimizing!

I've got a baby related site that I did this with a few months back and I'm already beating everyone else with the keywords used in the domain.
